ueber meinen schmuck
My jewelry is playful; little antennae peeking through thin plates of silver and gold. These antennae, generally made of plastic, are set into subtle motion by the wearer's movements; in effect 'brought to life'.

The inspiration for my colourful work, comes both from nature and my imagination. For example, the ring entitled "Anemone" with it's long 'feelers' makes one think of underwater worlds.

The nature of my jewellery leads one to look more closely at it, thus the name "Augenblick" (roughly translated from german as "Blink of the Eye") for one of the collections. The slight motion lets the jewellery appear different from one moment to the next.

In the second collection , the 'Antennae' are placed irregularly, as if they were scattered. Each time the scattering is different, thus making each of the pieces in the collection "Vertreut" ("Strewn") a unique piece. Often the thin colourful antennae find themselves mirrored in the thin plates of silver and gold.

The combination of gold and silver with the colourful plastic allows for a surprising lightness in even the largest earrings. Sunlight, when it falls on the earrings, is reflected back through the plastic by the gold and silver, creating a dazzling display of colour. Thus depending on time of day, my jewelry always appears in a new light.

My jewelry is to be worn, to be worn with pleasure.
